Quality assurance tests in use on regional rail services

Since June 2026, our colleagues in Rhineland-Palatinate have been carrying out inspections to verify compliance with the transport and quality standards set by the Rhineland-Palatinate North Local Rail Transport Authority. Key aspects of the inspections, carried out by mystery shoppers acting from a passenger’s perspective, include cleanliness, the functionality of the vehicles, the quality of passenger information and the service quality of the train crew. We conduct these regular surveys at regular intervals throughout the year, and they will initially run until 2033.
