Energy utility N-ERGIE AG is building an innovative car park on its premises in Nuremberg-Sandreuth. The construction works were launched on 22 May 2020. 130 of the planned 335 parking spaces will be equipped with charging stations for electric cars powered using the photovoltaic facility on the roof. The ground floor will also provide spaces for bicycles, pedelecs and e-scooters.
To support this project, PB CONSULT has provided consulting services for traffic-related matters and concepts for traffic-related aspects such as the distribution of future users in the car park, trafficability, the design of the point of entry (e.g. sensor and camera positions), the positioning of a fast charging station on site, planning of a parking guidance system and the review of the connection to the public street network.
