Public Transport Surveys in Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen

The VAG Nürnberg provides secure and reliable transport services for approximately 200 million passengers per year in the larger Nuremberg area. Traffic surveys are used in product planning, service improvements and revenue allocation.

On commission of the VAG, PB CONSULT prepares a four-stage full survey in the cities of Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen and more ad-hoc traffic surveys over the year. It organises and executes surveys using longtime in-house staff and executes a proportion of the evaluations of the raw data.

Up to 90 staff are used to perform the survey simultaneously. Surveys of persons who board and exit, cross-section and transfer counts across various modes of transport and passenger interviews are performed.

The survey requirements are high precision and reliability and accurate and immediate evaluation of the collected data.
