Accessible Bus Stops Ludwigsburg
With the timetable change 2019/2020, the Ludwigsburg traffic authorities launched a new line concept for the city bus operations in Ludwigsburg. To implement it, 5 new bus stops with 8 bus platforms need to be integrated in the schedule.

To this end, the city of Ludwigsburg commissioned PB CONSULT to create an evaluation (Lph 1-3 gem. HOAI) for the planning of all 8 accessible bus platforms.
Temporary bus platforms are built and examined for test purposes. Upon the successful test period and the receipt of the passenger feedback, the design plans will be implemented in the execution planning.
In addition to the accessibility requirements, the planning efforts were focused on the trafficability of the changed road cross-sections for bus lines and refuse-collecting vehicles. The results of the tractory curve tests were used to determine the locations and geometries of the bus platforms. The planning was performed with the aim of preserving the existing grassy areas and creating new ones.
