VAG Nuremberg eBus port takes shape
After the necessary earthworks, civil engineering and demolition work – which incidentally required approx. 12,000 m³ of earthworks! – for the new eBus-Port have been completed, the new concrete parking areas were finished at the end of 2020. After a short winter break, the enclosures and the infiltration-enabled parking spaces are currently being constructed. Parallel to the traffic facilities, the massive reinforced concrete supports and the sophisticated steel roof construction are currently being erected. Finally, the green roof including the installation of a PV system as well as the expansion of the electric charging infrastructure will take place. PB CONSULT was commissioned for the planning and supervision of the transport facilities within the scope of this groundbreaking project for the electrification of the bus fleet of VAG Nuremberg. The first test operation of the eBus-Port with electric buses is planned for summer 2021.
