Planning and Construction Management for the new VAG Nuremberg eBus Port
PB CONSULT was commissioned with the planning and management of the construction works for the traffic facilities within the scope of the creation of the eBus Port. Following the launch of the planning measures in early 2019, construction works started on 8 June 2020.
The eBus Port will provide parking spaces for 39 electric buses located below two steel roofs with grassed or planted surfaces and a photovoltaic facility. This design allows individual access to each parking space which will facilitate significant operational improvements. Each parking space has the necessary charging infrastructure via the concrete roof. The central supply is ensured using two support devices in the inflexion point of the steel roofs.
8,500 m³ earthworks will be necessary for the traffic facilities. Below the roofs of the eBus Port, approximately 3,500 m² of concrete traffic area will be created. Asphalt will be used to create the remaining traffic area of approximately 6.500 m². Drainage will be routed via two centred slit gutters.
The planning and management of the project will be done in collaboration with the following companies: Architekturbüro Dürschinger (structural engineering), Ingenieurbüro Götz + Neun (structures), Ingenieurbüro Wolf + Partner (technical building equipment) and Landschaftsbüro L + P.
