PB CONSULT to consolidate and extend expertise in continuous surveying of traffic-related behaviour (KONTIV) by 2022

Our expertise in continuous surveying of traffic-related behaviour has been confirmed in multiple respects. The collaboration with VAG Nuernberg (municipal company for transport services) has been extended again until 2022. Moreover, Stuttgart tram services company SSB have decided to extend our collaboration that started in 2017 until the end of 2022. This means that PB CONSULT will provide the critical basic data for strategic and operational control of both public transport providers for more years.

But is is not only public transport providers who need to rely on basic data regarding traffic-related behaviour. The Bavarian community of Holzkirchen has decided to create a new transportation plan for the Holzkirchen area. This transportation plan aims at determining the share of bycicle traffic in the modal split and to enable an improvement by a fixed but feasible percentage. PB CONSULT was comissioned as a partner in a community of providers together with our collaboration partner, the institute for innovative cities, to perform this modal split survey based on the KONTIV design. Completion of these is scheduled end of 2020 to reach the next level of the implementation of the planned target measures.
