New mobility requires new insurance models? – Research programme at Coburg University of Applied Sciences starts
The “DiVers” research programme at Coburg University of Applied Sciences, funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, deals with the change in mobility behaviour and the associated changes in the insurance industry. The Nuremberg region was deliberately chosen as the model region because it exemplifies the change in the mobility behaviour of the population. The parallel use of several means of transport, which can already be observed today, will also have an impact on the insurance industry, which is considering offers that are independent of means of transport. We will support this study with our expertise and the provision of data from mobility surveys and passenger counts. Besides PB CONSULT, the companies HUK-COBURG, WIND Mobility GmbH and VAG Verkehrs-Aktiengesellschaft are involved in the research project.
