International delegation from Addis Ababa visits PB Consult

Within the framework of our international ITS project in Addis Ababa, a delegation from the Ethiopian capital visited Germany at the beginning of June 2022 as part of a Study Tour. In addition to visiting Berlin, Stuttgart and Frankfurt, our staff from PB CONSULT focused on the delegation’s visit to Nuremberg.

Colleagues Gary Harris, Marius Steger, Stefan Kokott and Holger Warnke organised a site visit to the new E-Bus port of VAG, the tram depot of the VAG as well as a guided tour through the pedestrian zone of Nuremberg. The topic of mobility, especially public transport and non-motorised traffic, could be shown with all the facets of a large German city.

The members of the delegation, consisting of senior managers from Addis Ababa Transport Bureau, Roads and Traffic Management Agency and Addis Ababa City Roads Authority, as well as colleagues from our partner Dorsch GRE (Project Director of Addis Ababa Smart City Mobility 2025 Project, Manager of the Dorsch GRE Addis Ababa office) enjoyed the day with our colleagues and travelled back to Ethiopia with fresh insights on how to plan and improve mobility in a large city.
