Refitting the tactile elements at four city railway stations in Frankfurt

In the context of extending the accessibility of the local public transit, the Stadtwerke Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF; Frankfurt Transport Company) is gradually refitting the city’s railway stations with a tactile orientation system for visually impaired people. With PB Consult having already undertaken building services and planning work in 2018 for the stations Bornheim Mitte and Westend, the VGF commissioned PB Consult once more for further planning services regarding the stations Parlamentsplatz, Habsburgerhalle, Eissporthalle and Nordwestzentrum. In addition to developing the construction planning and preparing order placement during the project, compiling the necessary licensing documents for the grant application of the Municipal Transport Financing Act is another crucial measure.
